Nursery
Welcome to the CUMC Nursery
Our goal is to provide a caring and engaging experience for each child. We want our little ones to feel safe, loved and excited to be with us during their time in the nursery. We work to form connections with each child and their family.
Nursery Goals
Our goal is to provide a caring and engaging experience for each child. We want our little ones to feel safe, loved and excited to be with us during their time in the nursery. We work to form connections with each child and their family.
We serve our youngest disciples and their families by providing Nursery care during Sunday worship services and various church events. The ages we serve are infant through 3 years old. Care is provided by staff and dedicated volunteers.
Nursery Basics
Sunday Worship Nursery care is available on a ‘drop in’ basis during our 9:00 and 11:00 am church services. Nursery care for other events is offered on a sign-up basis.
Our dedicated space is set up with a designated infant area, with a separate toddler play space. Toys and equipment are washed regularly. We also follow the guidelines set to meet Safe Sanctuary requirements.
A “guided” training approach with our youth workers and volunteers by modeling the way we work/play with the children in our care. Basic safety, redirection and child development information is given as appropriate and questions are always encouraged.
Nursery Volunteers
Parents who use the nursery are asked to volunteer approximately once a month. This not only helps us adequately staff the nursery but it provides opportunities for families of young children to connect and feel involved.
