The Bible Year
How to get involved:
- Purchase a copy of “The Bible Year: A Journey Through Scripture in 365 Days” by Magrey R. Devega. https://www.abingdonpress.com/bibleyear/ There is space each day to write down any notes or reflections you may have from your reading. You’ll read from your own copy of scripture, so if you’ve had your eye on a new bible this might be the time to get it!
- If you choose not to purchase a copy of “The Bible Year,” you will still be able to participate fully in the program. Download a copy of the reading plan and get a blank notebook (or create a new document on your preferred device) where you can write 1-2 thoughts reflecting on the reading each day.
- Sign up to receive weekly emails about “The Bible Year” from Clarkston UMC. We hope that these emails will act as an encouragement to you on your reading journey. Each email will include resources to guide you for the week ahead. You will receive a link to a video from Amplify Media with a brief reflection (5-10 minutes) about the upcoming reading, as well as a link to a podcast that has been created to accompany the Bible Year, offering context and background for each week’s scriptures. When you sign up to receive emails, you will receive an Amplify Media access code that is unique to Clarkston UMC; if you need help setting up an Amplify account, please contact the main office.
