Youth Choir
Middle School and Junior High
Wednesday 6:00 - 6:45 pm

A choir in which singing, improved music reading and worship leadership is emphasized. Worship participation takes place approximately once a month. The group also sings in concerts.

The Youth Choir is planning a Youth Choir tour for February 26, 27 and 28, 2010.  Please contact Mrs.Thomas, sthomas@clarkstonumc.org, if you are interested in joining or helping with the tour. 


Our church is a proud supporter of Choristers’ Guild, an international Christian organization that promotes the spiritual and musical growth of children and youth. If you are interested in reading more about this organization, go to www.choristersguild.org.

Youth Band
Grade 9 - Adult

This group consists of a variety of musicians including guitarists, percussionists, instrumentalists and singers who lead music once a month at 611.

Drama
All ages
Practice as needed

This group of actors and backstage helpers present skits and readings regularly in our contemporary worship service. No previous theatrical experience necessary. Instructional workshops are available for participants. Rehearsals are arranged according to participant's schedules.

Celebration Ringers
Grade 6 - 8
Wednesday 6:45 - 7:30 pm

This program is for youth with some ringing or music reading experience. Participation in worship and/or special programs takes place approximately six times per year.

Jubilate Bells
High School/Adult
Wednesday 7:30 - 9 pm

Worship performances of intermediate and advanced music take place about every six weeks. Special concerts, hand-bell festivals and community activities are also part of this ministry. Babysitting can be arranged if needed.

Men's Choir
High School/Adult
Thursday 9 - 9:45 pm

Various Thursdays, this four-part choir participates in worship approximately once a month and in special church functions.

Chancel Choir

High School/Adult
Thursday 7:30 - 9 pm

This is the principal weekly worship choir which also participates in special concert and church activities.

Instrumental Music
Grade 7 - Adult
Practice as needed

Participation in worship and special programs takes place approximately six times a year. Small instrumental ensembles for special programs will also be arranged. One year of experience on an instrument is required.

You are invited to join our "Have Choir-Will Travel" singing group, which visits nursing homes and other area facilities to share God's love through anthems and hymns. Usually singing every 6 weeks on Sunday afternoons after the 11:15am worship, both the singers and the listeners are blessed by this outreach ministry.
