Our youth will be traveling down to Motown Mission located in The Metropolitan United Methodist Church in Detroit Michigan as well as spending a day with the Detroit program, Arts and Scraps. Our middle schoolers, through Motown Mission, will work with various agencies in Detroit that strive to do God’s work in the community. Jobs may include working with young children, working in a community garden, helping with the homeless, light painting and location cleanup. The jobs will be arranged and confirmed by Motown Mission as we get closer to our event. Learn more about Motown Mission on their website at motownmission.org

Arts & Scraps is a Detroit non-profit organization that reimagines recycled materials to help people of all ages think, create and learn. Our youth will visit their building learn about this amazing organization and get to work prepping the materials (cutting, sorting etc.) making kits or organizing recyclables. Visit their website at artsandscraps.org.
