Easter 2018

Find the HOPE that comes from shadows.

Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday, March 24 (2:00 pm) Our annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held on the lawn of Renaissance High School, just behind the church, at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 24th. Hunt for 3,000+ eggs, enjoy a snack and have your picture taken with the Easter Bunny. All is FREE and all are welcome. Rain, snow, sleet or sunshine -- we look forward to seeing you and your friends there!

Shadow Savior

It is time to get serious about Jesus. Time to be honest about Jesus. Time to be honest about our fears, confusion, and frustration about Jesus. Time to talk about the moments when Jesus surprises us, scare us and reveals to us truth about ourselves we did not want to face.

We need Jesus, the real Jesus. We need more than the Jesus we like who is cuddly, compassionate and kind. We live in a world with real issues and serious problems. Jesus lite will not be enough to give us power, direction and hope to defeat evil, heal families and protect our children.

Worship will lead us to get close to the Jesus we need. That is not always the Jesus we like or understand. Like the first disciples, this journey will lead us to embrace a faith that will change our lives and give hope to the world. Join us so we can be ready to fully embrace and celebrate the joy and glory of Easter.

Worship Services

Ash Wednesday

Wednesday, February 14 (12 PM or 7 PM)

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. We mark our foreheads with ashes to remember our mortality and acknowledge our need to refocus on God. Join us for this service of Holy Communion and Imposition of Ashes.

Maundy Thursday

Thursday, March 29 (7 PM)

On this Thursday, we remember Jesus' final meal with his followers and share in Holy Communion. "Maundy" comes from a Latin word that means "commandment," because it was during Jesus' last supper that he shared a new commandment with his disciples: we are to love one another, just as Jesus loves us.

Good Friday

Friday, March 30 (12 PM or 7 PM)

On Good Friday, we remember Jesus' death on the cross. The service is reflective and somber as we hear the account of Jesus' crucifixion. Join us at 12:00 PM or 7:00 PM.

Palm Sunday

Sunday, March 25 (9 AM or 11 AM)

Before he was killed, Jesus marched triumphantly into Jerusalem surrounded by palms and shouts of Hosanna. He was hailed as the Messiah. Each year on the week before Easter, we remember how Jesus was welcomed. As in days of old, we wave palm branches and shout, "Hosanna", which is an expression of joy. Join us for worship at 9:00 AM or 11:00 AM.

Easter Sunday

Sunday, April 1 (9 AM or 11 AM)

On Easter, we celebrate that the tomb where Jesus was laid was found empty . . . Jesus lives! Come celebrate Christ's resurrection with us in worship at 9:00 AM or 11:00 AM.
