Announcing Completion of the CUMC Ministry Expansion project.
In August, the finishing touches were put on the construction project.
Our Design Priorities were to modernize our existing footprint providing increased, flexible space to accommodate our ministry growth. We are now able to utilize space in a more flexible manner, with updated restrooms, and barrier free accessibility throughout the facility.
Specific enhancements include:
Special thanks to the City of the Village of Clarkston for its support, our neighbors, and our congregation for their patience during the build process. We celebrate the efforts of our Construction Manager, Frank Rewold & Sons and our capable architect, Auger Klein Aller Architects and the fabulous construction team and subcontractors who built with great effort and care.
With unanticipated gifts, we were able to provide additional enhancements during the project. We are pleased to have new flooring in the sanctuary, a new sound system in the sanctuary capable of streaming information throughout the building, exterior landscape upgrades, office & hallway furniture, exterior decorative lighting and new sidewalks, a coffee shop equipment ministry, our beautiful cross in the Gathering Space, along with the brick planter, updated Parlor carpet, athletic flooring in the Community Center and sports equipment, Showers, Laundry Room and Appliances, and stair treads. We share these gifts in honor and memory of some special people in our church and community for which they were given.
We are grateful for the support of our community and congregation during this undertaking. We look forward to having you join us to see the transformation and share in our excitement.
This project importance goes far beyond the brick & mortar. What this project allows us to do it welcome everyone into an accommodating facility, where we will share in faith, fellowship and a generous heart. We hope this will leave lasting impressions on our community and those we serve for years to come. Clarkston United Methodist Church: "Honoring our Past & Building For the Future". Thanks be to God for this opportunity.
