Middle School Students
Middle School Youth group, or FUEL as it is called at CUMC, will continue to be led by Michele Ettinger and a team of wonderful caring adult counselors; Ryan Guzal, Nathan Majiros, Ruth Delong, Amy Krause and Shelby Ettinger. Youth Group is held on Sunday evenings from 6:00 - 7:30 pm. At CUMC we continue to be intentionally invitational by offering a variety of youth events that make it easy for our youth to invite friends including a Halloween party and youth Thanksgiving meal. Sunday evenings will have a mixture of pure fun and meaningful opportunities. Our youth will get to meet our pastors, explore what it means to be Methodist, participate in team building and community events such as a corn maze and Escape room, as well as discuss topics that face our teens in their daily life.
This year’s theme is Outside The Lines—living a life of freedom, faith, and love. Our curriculum was created to help students realize all that God has planned for their lives and how each of us is called out of fear, apathy, and doubt when we follow Jesus! Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.” Matthew 16:24–25 (NIV weekend verse)
The cost for the weekend retreat is $150. A $75 deposit is due December 15, 2018. The remaining $75 is Due January 25, 2019. Cost includes food , lodging and activities. Some optional activities have an additional fee. Scholarships are available.SIGN UP HERE
