Save the Date! Breakfast in the Parlor on July 12, Monday at 9am. We have a special opportunity to meet and hear the Rev. Kristin Markay. She and her husband serve as pastors of Italian Methodist multicultural inner-city congregations in Milano and Novara, Italy. They have also served in Lithuania and New York, their home conference being in Ohio. It is always of interest to us to learn of our church's outreach and how its disciples serve! Join us welcoming her and hear about her ministry. Please sign up on the bulletin board in the main hallway - there are no tickets, there will be a free-will offering. (PS - Her divinity degree is from Duke.)
School will soon be out and the need for kids' friendly foods will be at an all time high. Families will no longer have access to free or reduced lunches. Both the Lighthouse and CUMC Food Pantry needs include juice, breakfast drinks/bars, condiments (ketchup, salad dressing, relish, etc.), peanutbutter & jelly, mac & cheese, and toilet paper. Thank you for your generosity!
Attention all Adult Righteous Mission Attendees and “Wannabe” Attendees:
First, everyone please remember to mark your calendars for the final Adult Righteous Mission meeting on Wednesday, June 23 at 7PM at the church. There will be a lot of important info that you need for the trip that night. If you've paid the $25 registration fee for the trip, then there is still a $75 account balance due for the trip by July 4, the Sunday before. If you have not paid the initial registration, then the whole $100 is due on that date. If you are only going to be at ARM for a part of the week, then contact Greg Martin, Tom Creech, or Leslie Vaughn to figure out an alternate plan.
